Research Systems and Repositories

Directions in Research Systems and Repositories

In May 2008 the Collaborative Research Administrator's Group convened a one day forum to discuss issues and emerging trends in the areas of Research Management Systems and digital Repositories.

The purpose of the forum was to discuss current topics of interest to research information managers and look at ways of building a user community with appropriate tools to continue these discussions. To help foster such communication, the Collaborative Research Administrators Group (CRAG) -made up of UNE, UWS, ECU, Newcastle and Deakin universities - convened the "Research Information Managers Forum". The forum was aimed at staff involved in the co-ordination of information, data and systems used in research administration and attracted over 50 participants representing 26 universities (plus one NZ institution) including six Go8 members, five IRU-A members plus representatives from the ATN group and several other research intensive institutions.
